After winning the tender in recent months, Politecna kicks off the project for the redevelopment of the Caserma Santa Barbara in Milan. The state-owned complex, a valuable testimony to the monumental architecture of the 1930s, is currently in disuse and will be used for the activities of the Italian Army’s Transmissions Regiment. The project will be entirely developed in a BIM environment, from the preliminary activities of surveying the state of affairs to the final design delivery. In addition to contributing to seismic improvement and energy efficiency, the intervention includes the restoration and re-functionalization of seven low buildings of the complex, which is protected for its architectural and historical value by the Soprintendenza Archeologia, Belle Arti e Paesaggio of the Metropolitan City of Milan.

We are first in the standings for the executive design and execution of works for a studio within Cinecittà, the largest film production studios in Europe.

Our proposal, presented together with Italiana Costruzioni SpA, aims to obtain the highest standards of energy efficiency, helping to improve the environmental quality of its context. Moreover, a careful study of the soundproofing power of the entire building has been completed with a significant improvement in acoustic comfort. In line with the Do No Significant Harm (DNSH) principle, the theater provides non-invasive solutions for the environment and a circular approach. The project contributes to making this one of the most interesting restyling operations in the history of Cinecittà, which benefits from PNRR funds to promote culture, the arts and entertainment.

The prestigious British newspaper has included Politecna Europa among the European companies with the highest growth in turnover between 2018 and 2021. Based on the ranking drawn up by the FT on the basis of data provided by Statista on 1000 European companies, Politecna conquered the 209th place. An extraordinary result that recognizes the great professionalism of our team of over 120 engineers and architects.

Politecna Europa celebrates a new result! The project we presented with Italiana Costruzioni wins the construction of a new pavilion in the agro-food district of Milan, the main wholesale market in Italy.

The building, with an area of ​​approximately 90,000 square meters, will consist of a shopping gallery containing more than 200 fruit and vegetable sales outlets. Thanks to the CFD (Fluid Dynamics) analysis on the BIM model, the project uses passive thermal solutions, ensuring internal comfort and quality of the environments.

Today more than ever, designing means questioning how to generate value for the community that accesses spaces and services, a mission that we hold dear and to which we dedicate our research. The Italian State Property Agency has entrusted Politecna Europa and Progetto CMR with the design for the construction of the new Police Headquarters in Genoa, at the Nino Bixio Barracks.

The Masterplan proposal provides for an accurate distribution of functions for the respective users, with external green areas for the Immigration Office and an adequate wayfinding system, ensuring comfort and efficiency. The project envisages an energetically autonomous building, with the aim of obtaining the LEED GOLD certification and compliance with the criteria of the WELL protocol.
